It’s been practically 2 and a half years since Laura Linney gave birth to son Bennett Armistead, and now she’s opening up as to why she saved her pregnancy under wraps.
“You were on the subject of our reveal and pregnant, and we didn’t also know!” Kelly Ripa told the actress on the subject of Friday’s episode of Live along with Kelly.
“Well, I was an older mother-to-be, and it had taken me a fairly lengthy time to have actually a child,” replies the Love Actually star, that is now 52. “I preferred to make certain that my youngster Really arrived, and was protected and healthy.
“I simply was fairly quiet regarding it — I didn’t hide it intentionally, I simply didn’t advertise it,” she adds. “So it was the ideal point for me and my family.”

Bennett is the just youngster for Linney, that married husband Marc Schauer in 2009. And Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos — as her co-host Friday — had a couple of questions of his very own for the John Adams star.
“Yet at a particular point, it’s tough not to advertise it, right?” he asks.
“No, I was heading to the theater once I was eight months pregnant, no one said a thing,” the four-time Emmy-winning actress explains. “I mean, I wasn’t hiding!”
She continues, “After that once I Really had the baby, this large deal was gained about, ‘She was secret, secret, secret!’ I simply didn’t [hold up] a authorize that said, ‘Hi, I’m pregnant now.’ ”
Bennett is executing “great” today, according to his mom. And although no one actually decided on up on the subject of the truth that Linney was expecting at the time, she wasn’t immune to the infamous pregnancy symptoms.
“I vomited a lot,” she admits along with a laugh. “A lot.”
